As a result of the recent federal election, Edmonton Manning has a new Member of Parliament, Ziad Aboultaif. The LBCL Board of Directors wish to welcome Mr. Aboultaif as our federal representative and look forward to working together with him in giving Castle Downs a strong voice in Ottawa.
The Board would also like to take this opportunity to thank Brent Rathgeber for his dedication and service to the communities of Castle Downs during his time as MP for the riding of Edmonton-St. Albert.

Edmonton Community Dance (North) offers dance lessons in community halls, recreational facilities, and churches located in the communities north of the North Saskatchewan River including Lorelei-Beaumaris Hall. Registration for the 2015-2016 dance season is coming up.

The Board would like to thank Jennifer Roppelt for her years of dedication as Soccer Director, and more recently as Membership Director for LBCL. Jenn and her family are moving from the community and so she is stepping down as both Soccer Director and Membership Director. Jenn has volunteered many, many hours to facilitate a strong community soccer programme in our community, and we will be sad to see her go.
As Jenn steps down we have been fortunate to have two members of our community step up to take on her positions. Our amazing Social Director, Sonya Harriott will take on the additional role of Membership Director, and Kim Yellowknee will join our board to take over the role of Soccer Director. Thank you both! Our community is only as strong as our members, and we are pleased to have such dedicated community members willing to give their time and talents to the families of Lorelei Beaumaris.
