Spring Fling Smartie Pants Dance on April 11

Would you like a night out with your partner, without the kids?  Are your children always asking for playdates and to have friends over?  Why not let them have their friend fun and you a night off while they dance, sing, and jump the night away at our Spring Fling Smartie Pants Dance.

The dance is on Saturday, April 11 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm and is for children 6 - 12 years of age. Cost is $3.00 for LBCL members and $5.00 for non-members. There will be snacks for sale and door prizes.

All children must be signed in and signed out by an adult 18 years or older.

Welcome to our new website!

Welcome to LBCL's new website!

The LBCL Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank Pep Tavano for all his many hours of hard work and dedication in setting up and maintaining our previous site, and for helping to get our new site up and running.

We appreciate your patience as we are in the process of finalizing some of the content.

Please visit this little corner of the Internet to keep up to date with events and activities in our neighbourhood. Also, don't forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!

U6 Soccer coaches still needed!

LBCL is still looking for coaches for the upcoming season. We require male and female coaches for our U6 teams. If we do not have coaches, then we will have to transfer registered players to other community teams. We would love to have our children stay in the community to play for the Tigers!

Please consider stepping up as a coach. It's a ton of fun, and the kids will love you for it. If you're at all nervous about coaching, contact our Soccer Director, Jenn, and she will put your mind at ease. Remember, it's not about building a winning dynasty, it's about having fun on the pitch and watching our children grow.

Please contact Jenn if you are interested. If we do not have coaches by Friday, March 27, we will have to transfer our players.

Thank you.

Lorelei Beaumaris Annual General Meeting

Thank you to all who attended our Annual General Meeting.  We were able to give an update of our highlights, our challenges, and successfully passed our new bylaws which will help govern our community board until 2024.  We were also able to fill our board positions with returning and new faces and look forward to a great year ahead!  After the AGM we were able to hold our sports registration and appreciate everyone’s cooperation in getting it done as quickly and painlessly as possible.  We have since held two late registrations and had a good turnout to those as well. Sports updates will be posted on our website and in our email news as information is released.

We would like to extend a big thanks to all present and past board members and their families for their time and effort during the 2014-15 year; your help made our community a better place to live! We also appreciate all the help received in preparing for our AGM.  We would like to recognize Beaumaris Sobeys for donating the baked goods that we enjoyed as part of our light meal at the AGM.

Ice Rinks are closed for the season

With this latest infusion of sun and warm weather, our ice rinks are naught but puddles and memories. We would like to thank the Board for its continual support of our rinks, the members of the community who came out to enjoy the ice, and last, but certainly not least, to Duncan, LBCL's very own Ice Man, whose many hours of flooding, clearing, and maintenance gave us another great season of fabulous ice.

Enjoy the warming weather, have a great Spring, and we look forward to next Winter when we can once again lace up and skate in our community's rinks.
